It’s our one BIG EVENT of the Season. So come out and join us. Bring the kids, we’ll have goodies.

Here’s the scoop on the festivities:

Thursday, April 29, 2010 (with a rain date of Friday, April 30)
in the Fort Lee Field House and adjacent field.

The morning (9:00-1:00) will be dedicated to 2,000 3rd to 5th grade students from local elementary schools.
The afternoon (1:00-3:00) will then be dedicated to soldiers and staff from the Installation.

We’ll be out with the masses, talking about pottery, it’s history and future and how it fits into sustainability. (Hint: It’s made of EARTH!) Can’t get more sustainable, ecologically sound or even biodegradable than that!

We’ll see you there!

used to carry water. 10″ tall 10″ wide. Hand made using the coiling technique then carved with a swirl design. Taping on the small hole on the side gives a nice drum sound that resingates through the round body. No two Udu’s will ever sound a like.
The glaze is a two tone Shino. Rust colored where applied lighty and creamy white where heavy.

Friday for the arts at the Petersburg Regional Art Center was a big success and I had two pieces in the all media show. My finished (finally!) cat and the N.C. inspired jar. Thanks to everyone who came out in support of the arts!

Beginner – 6:00pm-6:55pm • Intermediate – 7:00pm-7:55pm
